On the First Sunday of Advent, our community, along with all other English-speaking Catholic communities throughout the United States, will begin using the third edition of the Roman Missal for our celebration of the Mass. This new edition, published in its original Latin form in 2002, has spent the last many years being meticulously translated, and will be the first major revision of our English Mass texts since 1973. Because of this, we as staff members of our Church community have prepared “Introducing the Roman Missal Third Edition”, in the hopes that it might calm, educate, and prepare us in this time of transition, and later allow us to worship together as the vibrant and energetic community we always have been and will continue to be.
