Here at the Casa, we help individuals to deepen their relationship with God, themselves and others. Through our liturgical events and services, retreats, workshops, classes, conferences, counseling and social justice outreach, we offer many opportunities to meet and serve God.
We have each been entrusted with the mysteries of Christ, the love of Christ and countless gifts. It is our responsibility as Christians to effectively use Christ’s gifts and serve God in ways appropriate for this honor.
We ask that you reflect on the numerous gifts given to you by God as you develop your financial plans for the future. We depend and rely on your continued generosity and support of the Franciscan Renewal Center for current operations and longevity for future generations. We survive on donations related to program support, liturgical events, social action ministry, grounds and maintenance, capital improvements and endowments.
For information on any aspect of giving to the Franciscan Renewal Center, please contact Rachel Oesterle, Vision Sustainability, at 480-948-7460, extension 145 or email

There are various opportunities and techniques that help you maximize the personal benefits of your charitable giving and allow you to make a gift that you might not have thought possible.
Many employers sponsor matching gift programs for charitable contributions made to 501(c)(3) charities. Some companies even match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses. Before making your contribution, find out if your organization will match it with your employer representative.
The Casa’s Development Office assists community members, foundations, program participants and others to maximize the benefits of their charitable giving through various gift strategies. With the assistance of the Catholic Community Foundation development team, we can provide information about and assist with arrangements for bequests, charitable remainder trusts, gift annuities, and a variety of assets, such as real estate and closely held stock. These types of gift plans often allow donors to optimize their philanthropy while meeting their financial, tax and estate plans.
Contact the Casa Development Office at 480-948-7460 or 800-356-3247, ext. 161 for information on a broad range of planned giving opportunities.

Tax Relief, Unemployment Insurance Reauthorization and Job Creation Act of 2010 has extended the IRA Charitable Rollover for 2011. Originally passed in 2006 as part of the Pension Protection Act, the IRA Charitable Rollover allows individuals age 70½ and older to make direct transfers totaling up to $100,000 per year to 501(c)(3) the Casa, without having to count the transfers as income for federal income tax purposes
Does this transfer qualify as my minimum required distribution? Once you reach age 70½, you are required to take minimum distributions from your retirement plans each year, according to a federal formula. IRA charitable rollovers count towards your minimum required distributions for the year.
Peace and Good Always~ Charlie
