04/02/2011 The Miracle of the Rosary: The Franciscan Crown

The Rosary is the fulcrum of Catholic prayer and faith, yet many still ask, "what is the Rosary?  When did it come to be and why?"  The Rosary of the Seven Joys of the Blessed Virgin Mary is treasured by the Franciscan order and is an ancient sacramental dating back to 1422.

This workshop will explore the history of the Rosary and the chaplet known as the Franciscan Crown. You will design your own Franciscan beads, have them blessed by a friar (if you choose to) and take home your beautiful work of art.

April 2 (Saturday), 9am - 4pm
Fee per person: $85

Additional materials fee for beads, medals and other items: $30, payable to the instructor on the program day.
