This retreat is for everyone interested in Centering Prayer.

As we reflect upon our desire to grow in our relationship with God, it can be helpful to recall Jesus’ words, “But when you pray, go to your inner room, close the door and pray to your Father in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will repay you.” (Mt. 6:6)

With this foundational text present to us and within the context of centering prayer, we will explore the questions: “How do I begin to access my inner room?” This question gives us a chance to review the steps involved in the practice of centering prayer and this is helpful for beginners as well as more experienced folks. “What begins to happen when we access our inner room?” This question provides what Fr. Bill describes as a deepening experience in our centering prayer practice.  There will be ample time for centering prayer during the retreat. Join us for this contemplative prayer retreat in an atmosphere of silence and solitude.

Spiritual directors will be available to give retreatants an opportunity to share their faith journey in individual sessions.

Commuter fee including meals: $170 per person.  All lodging is full for this retreat. 

Check-in: Thursday 5 pm; social 5:30 pm; dinner 6 pm. Retreat ends Sunday, 1 pm.

Bill Sheehan, OMI has broad experience in pastoral ministry. Since 1983, he has been involved with Contemplative Outreach founded by Fr. Thomas Keating, OCSO. During that time, he has led many Centering Prayer workshops and retreats in different parts of the country. Recently, Fr. Bill was appointed to the Advisory Board of the quarterly magazine, Human Development.
