Mary Esther Stewart
The San Damiano Cross has always been associated with the Franciscans. This Byzantine icon is a unique image that tells a much larger story than what first meets the eye. What inspired the artist who painted this icon? Who are the people in the pictures? Why are they there? What is the story behind this icon? What can this image contribute to our personal spirituality? How can this image be an inspiration to me?
Fee per person: $20 includes dinner. Registration required.
Mary Esther Stewart is a Secular Franciscan living in Flagstaff, AZ. She is a mother, grandmother, artist, writer, and gardener.
